O.A.B.I.: Organization for Abused and Battered Individuals launched officially in 2011 with a Domestic Violence and Abuse Caravan. Community outreach is crucial in the fight against domestic violence, child abuse, gender-based violence and sexual assault. As such The Organization for Abused and Battered Individuals launched its Domestic Violence and Abuse Caravan where it would host 3 sessions in various communities.
This is an ongoing project where we aim to visit various communities to broach the aforementioned issues, once resources are available to make this possible. Each community is different as such each program is customized to suit the community and its residents. Education and information are the keys for primary prevention. It is said "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
